What is Binairo?
Binairo (also called Takuzu, Binary Puzzle, or Tango) is a logic puzzle played on a grid. The goal is to fill every cell with one of two symbols while following three simple rules:
- Balance: Each row and column must contain an equal number of each symbol (for a 6×6 grid, that's 3 of each).
- No triples: You cannot have more than two of the same symbol in a row horizontally or vertically.
- Uniqueness: No two rows can be identical, and no two columns can be identical.
Some Binairo variants (including Tango) add constraint symbols between cells — an equals sign (=) means the adjacent cells must match, while an × means they must differ. These constraints add an extra layer of deduction to the classic puzzle.

Why Play Binairo?
Binairo puzzles offer a perfect balance of accessibility and depth. The rules are simple enough to learn in minutes, but the puzzles can challenge even experienced solvers. Unlike Sudoku, which uses nine symbols, Binairo's two-symbol system creates a different kind of logical reasoning — you're constantly balancing constraints and eliminating possibilities.
Regular practice with Binairo puzzles helps develop pattern recognition, logical deduction, and systematic thinking. Whether you call it Binairo, Takuzu, or Tango, you'll find the same satisfying "aha" moments when the solution clicks into place.
