What is Beat the Clock?
Beat the Clock is Tango’s timed arcade mode. You start with 90 seconds on the clock and one 6×6 board in front of you. Every board you solve banks bonus time — up to 25 extra seconds in Easy mode — and deals the next puzzle instantly. Waves raise the difficulty as you go, so the longer you survive, the trickier the boards get. The run ends when the clock hits zero.
How scoring works
Your score is the number of boards you cleared, with your total solve time as the tiebreaker. Anyone can play — no account needed. Sign in with your Coffee Break account to post your best run to the weekly and all-time leaderboards and compare against other players in your mode.
Tips for faster runs
Scan for forced moves first: two identical symbols in a row force the third cell, and every = or × marker chains into its neighbors. Easy-mode boards are heavily constrained, so following the markers is almost always faster than guessing. If a board fights back, bank what you know — the clock rewards steady progress over perfection.
